Tips/ Serving suggestions:
- Don't over mix the cake batter because it can leads to dense and hard cake texture.
- You can also replace oil with melted butter and add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavor of the chocolate cake.
- Pat the cake pan on the counter few times before transferring to the oven. Take extra step to tap the bottom of the pan on the kitchen counter to eliminate any remaining air bubbles in the batter.
- Add some nuts or choclate chips in cream cheese layer for better mouthfeel.
Steps:
A. CHOCOLATE CAKE
Step 1:
Sift and mix well wheat flour, castor sugar, Socolic’s Chocolate Malt Drink Powder, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well.
Step 2:
In another bowl, add in condensed milk, oil, egg and milk and whisk until all the ingredients smooth.
Step 3:
Combine the dry ingredients into milk mixture and mix together until well combined. Then, add the boiling water to the cake batter and mix well.
Step 4:
Distribute cake batter evenly between two prepared cake pans. (9 inch). Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 150°C.
Step 5:
Cut the cake according to your preferred container sizes.
Step 6:
Layer the chocolate cake with cream cheese filling.
Step 7:
Continue with one more layer chocolate cake.
Step 8:
Finish it with another cream cheese layer.
Step 9:
Spread the chocolate ganache and
sprinkle some chocolate chips on top. Cover well and refrigerate for at least 1
to 2 hours. Ready to serve.
B. CHOCOLATE GANACHE
Step 1:
In a saucepan, add in fresh milk and Snow Whip Whipping Cream Powder Mix. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Step 2:
Next, place the Socolic’s Chocolate Malt Drink Powder into it and stir until smooth.
Step 3:
Lastly, add in butter into the ganache, stir it and let it cool for 10 minutes before spread on the cake.
C. CREAM CHEESE FILLING
Step 1:
Mix well cream cheese and condensed milk
in a mixer. Put aside.
Step 2:
In another bowl, whip Snow Whip Whipping Cream Powder Mix together with cold water for 5-10 minutes until peak form.
Step 3:
Mix both mixture and let it cool in
refrigerator for at least 1 hour before pipe it on cake.
